Here I am! You missed me, I'm sure...ha! I'm sitting at work, pondering the irony of me having brought nuggets and a chocolate milk shake with me to work twice in a row...when I work at a gym! I should be setting a good example and eating carrots while doing crunches or something! :\ Too bad I'm lazy and okay with being fat. :)
Being here at work (Too Your Health Gym and Spa), I'm amazed at how dedicated some people are. A lot of them are here every single night! They come and they work out, and they love every minute of it. You can tell because the regulars are always in a better mood when they leave than when they get here. They're always laughing and joking around...granted, it's not always good things they're laughing at, since they don't have Jesus yet.. But, you can tell they really love it here. They put their hearts into what they're doing, and I think that is absolutely amazing.
There's this one guy in particular who actually kinda scares me...with his hugeness, I mean. He's there for at least two hours every night and he looks like a monster! It's obvious just by looking at him that his life revolves around his health. Just In the small amount of time I see him, I can tell that he's passionate about what he does. It't almost sickening... But, more than that, It's inspiring. :) It's inspiring to see someone put so much into what they love, and actually reap benefits from it. I mean, everyone there knows that this guy is the strongest dude there! He's earned a lot of respect. I like to think of him and the other regulars as physical examples of what we have the capability of being spiritually. We can literally be monsters in Jesus! Wouldn't it be amazing to see our entire youth group put their whole hearts into their walks with God? Can you imagine the strength and power we would have if we spent as much time on Spiritual things as these people who are obsessed with fitness are? We would be amazing! We've just got to get passionate about our daily "workout" routine with God and really put some deep time into it. We can't let people in the world be more crazy about something like physical fitness than we are about our spiritual fitness! Let's step it up even more, H2O. Time to build up those muscly things! ;)
